WHAT IS AN MOT?
The MOT test checks that your vehicle meets road safety and environmental standards. The first MOT test for your vehicle will be required when it’s 3 years old, after this your car will need to be tested every year. Your MOT lasts for a year, from the renewal date, you can get an MOT up to a month before it runs out and keep the same renewal date.
IMPORTANT!
It is an offence to drive your vehicle on the road if the MOT has run out.
THE ONLY EXCEPIONS TO DRIVE ARE:
If the vehicle is going to or from somewhere to be repaired or have a pre-arranged MOT test by an approved MOT testing station.
